This school was started by Jeori Public School Education society in the year 1995. The Jeori Public School Education Society worked very hard for many years. It was because of years of extreme dedication that Jeori Public School came to be recognized amongst the top few schools of Jeori and surrounding areas.

In the initial years Jeori Public School was a Nursery School. With each session the reputation of the school grew the pressure from the parents increased and a new class was added each year. In the year 2005 the school got affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. The first batch of 10^th that passed out from CBSE board was in the year in 2007 with very good marks. The results for year 2008 and 2009 were also outstanding. JPS has a hostel too, which was started with the persuasion of one parent who left two of his kids, as he was unable to stay in jeori and did not want his children to leave the school.
